Dream Chaser & Hughes Bring Home a Wally!
The ongoing relationship between Dream Chaser Racing and Hughes Performance continues to make its mark in the world of NHRA Sportsman Drag Racing.
On the first day of competition at the AAA Texas Fall Nationals at The Texas Motorplex in Dallas, Dream Chaser engine builder Seth Polvadore wheeled the Hughes Performance/Dream Chaser ’89 Camaro to the J/SA class championship. Running on a 12.45 index, Polvadore was .037 seconds better on the tree than Sharon Bogues and he never had to look back.
Polvadore crossed the stripe at an impressive 11.819 (-.631) and 111.37 MPH while Bogues finished in 12.423 and 107.60 MPH. With a .641 second margin of victory, Polvadore added to his already impressive drag racing resume.
Going into final eliminations, the Hughes Performance/Dream Chaser Camaro is solidly in the top half of the highly competitive 57 car field.
